Close up portrait of person with blue eyes under dramatic spotlighting

Prompt

A close-up portrait of a person with short hair and intense blue eyes looking directly at the camera.

Subject: A person with very short, dark hair and piercing light blue eyes that are fully illuminated by the light source.

Clothing: The subject wears a simple black crew-neck t-shirt.

Action: The person stares forward with a neutral expression while standing still.

Environment: The background is a smooth, featureless surface in a muted cool grey tone.

Lighting: A single beam of hard light strikes the face from above and slightly to the side, creating a dramatic spotlight effect that leaves the rest of the face and neck in deep shadow.

Style Details: High contrast photography with a cinematic mood, sharp focus on the eyes, and a minimalist composition emphasizing the interplay of light and dark.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating dramatic character studies, intense editorial headshots, and minimalist fine art photography. The combination of 'hard light' from above and the 'deep shadow' on the neck emphasizes bone structure and piercing eyes, which prevents the image from looking flat by carving out specific planes of light against the muted cool grey background.

Suggestions

Change 'black crew-neck t-shirt' to 'charcoal turtleneck' for a different neckline.
Adjust 'hard light' to 'rim lighting' to separate the subject more dramatically.
Swap 'muted cool grey tone' for 'dark slate background' to increase contrast.
