Profile portrait of man with glasses beard in expressive ink wash style

Prompt

A profile portrait of a man with messy hair, round glasses, and a beard, rendered in an expressive ink-wash style on aged paper.

Subject: A man shown in profile facing left, featuring messy dark hair swept back from his forehead, thick-rimmed round eyeglasses, and a full beard covering his jawline.

Clothing: He wears a heavy jacket with a high collar that is turned up around his neck, rendered with loose, expressive brushstrokes.

Action: The subject maintains a still, contemplative pose in profile, gazing forward with a neutral expression.

Environment: The background is a textured surface resembling aged parchment or old paper, featuring faint handwritten script and ink splatters integrated into the composition.

Camera: A tight close-up portrait shot that fills the frame with the subject's head and shoulders.

Lighting: High-contrast lighting that emphasizes the dark ink strokes against the lighter paper texture, creating a dramatic, graphic feel.

Style Details: The image mimics an expressive ink wash painting or charcoal sketch on textured paper, utilizing heavy black brushstrokes, ink splatters, drips, and visible grain to create a gritty, artistic aesthetic.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating character concept art, book chapter illustrations, and moody editorial portraiture. The combination of 'expressive ink-wash style' with 'high-contrast lighting' ensures that the heavy black brushstrokes remain graphic and visible against the aged parchment texture, preventing the details from becoming muddy or losing their intended raw energy.

Suggestions

Change 'messy dark hair' to 'slicked back dark hair' for a different silhouette.
Add 'sumi-e style' to refine the ink wash aesthetic.
Swap 'heavy jacket' for 'turtleneck sweater' to adjust the neckline detail.
