Black and white portrait of young woman leaning against textured sofa armrest

Prompt

A black and white portrait of a young woman with styled hair leaning back against a textured sofa armrest.

Subject: A young woman with voluminous, shoulder-length hair featuring soft waves at the ends, fair skin, defined eyebrows, dark eyeliner, and full lips.

Clothing: She wears a light-colored button-up shirt tied in a knot at the waist to expose her midriff, paired with dark trousers secured by a belt with a visible buckle.

Action: Her right arm is raised with her hand resting behind her head near her ear, while she gazes directly forward with a neutral expression.

Environment: An indoor setting featuring a paneled wall in the background and a textured fabric surface of a sofa or chair in the foreground.

Camera: A medium close-up shot taken from a slightly low angle looking up at the subject.

Lighting: High-contrast studio lighting creating deep shadows on the left side of her face and body, highlighting the right side with bright illumination.

Style Details: Grainy black and white photography with a vintage aesthetic typical of 1960s portrait film.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating vintage editorial portraits, moody character studies, and stylized personal branding imagery. The combination of 'high-contrast studio lighting' casting deep shadows on the left side while illuminating the right side sculpts the face dramatically, which enhances the moodiness required for both character studies and vintage aesthetics.

Suggestions

Change 'textured sofa armrest' to 'velvet chaise lounge' for a richer foreground element.
Swap 'dark eyeliner' for 'smudged kohl liner' to enhance the worn vintage feel.
Adjust 'medium close-up shot' to 'headshot' if you want more focus on the expression.
