Black and white studio portrait of man with beard wearing dark suit

Prompt

A black and white studio portrait of a man with short dark hair and a beard looking directly at the camera.

Subject: A man with short dark hair, a full beard, and clear-framed glasses.

Clothing: He wears a dark suit jacket over a light-colored collared shirt that is unbuttoned at the top.

Action: The subject sits facing forward with a serious expression and direct eye contact.

Environment: The background is a solid, featureless black void.

Camera: A medium close-up shot framed from the chest up with a shallow depth of field.

Lighting: Dramatic low-key lighting creates high contrast with deep shadows on the left side of his face and suit.

Style Details: High-contrast monochrome photography with a grainy texture and sharp focus on the eyes.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating dramatic character studies, minimalist editorial spreads, and fine art portraiture intended to emphasize mood over setting. The combination of 'dramatic low-key lighting' and 'solid, featureless black void' forces the viewer's attention solely onto the subject's face and the texture provided by the 'grainy texture,' preventing any visual distraction from a complex background.

Suggestions

Change 'dark suit jacket' to 'tweed blazer' for more visible texture.
Adjust 'deep shadows on the left side of his face' to 'soft key light across the forehead' for less harshness.
Swap 'medium close-up shot' for 'headshot' to focus purely on the expression.
