Medium close up portrait of woman with dark wavy hair against light

Prompt

A soft-focus portrait of a woman with long dark wavy hair and a contemplative expression looking to the side.

Subject: A woman with long, voluminous dark brown hair styled in loose waves that cascade over her shoulder, featuring defined eyebrows and a neutral, thoughtful facial expression.

Clothing: She wears a sleeveless denim top or dress with a square neckline, detailed with visible golden stitching along the seams and a small gold button on the strap.

Action: Her head is turned slightly to the left in profile while she gazes off-camera, with her hair gently blowing across her face.

Environment: A plain, light-colored wall serves as a neutral background that keeps the focus entirely on the subject.

Camera: The shot is framed as a medium close-up from a slightly low angle, utilizing a shallow depth of field to blur the background and highlight facial features.

Lighting: Soft, diffused natural light illuminates the scene from the front-left, creating gentle shadows that define her cheekbones and hair texture without harsh contrast.

Style Details: The image has a high-fashion editorial quality with smooth skin tones, vibrant color saturation, and a polished, professional photography aesthetic.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating intimate character studies, minimalist beauty editorials, and lifestyle branding materials that require focus on the subject's mood. The combination of 'soft, diffused natural light' and the 'plain, light-colored wall' ensures that the model emphasizes subtle facial contours and hair texture rather than being distracted by harsh shadows or complex backgrounds.

Suggestions

Change 'denim top or dress' to 'silk slip dress' for a different material contrast.
Add 'rim lighting from the back right' to give more separation from the background.
Swap 'contemplative expression' for 'slight, knowing smile' to change the mood.
