Young woman in blue cardigan at rainy city bus stop at night

Prompt

A young woman with dark hair stands at a bus stop on a rainy night.

Subject: A young woman with long, dark hair and bangs framing her face, looking directly at the camera with a soft expression.

Clothing: She wears a light blue knitted cardigan over a white dress with lace detailing, accessorized with a cream-colored shoulder bag.

Action: She stands facing forward with one hand holding the strap of her bag near her chest.

Environment: A wet city street at night, featuring a bus stop shelter with a visible route map on the wall behind her and blurred car lights reflecting on the pavement.

Lighting: Soft ambient light from street lamps and vehicle headlights creates a moody atmosphere with reflections on the wet ground.

Camera: Medium shot capturing the subject from the waist up with a shallow depth of field that blurs the background traffic and surroundings.

Style Details: The image has a soft, dreamy aesthetic with cool color tones and a slightly grainy texture typical of film photography.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating cinematic character portraits, moody editorial spreads about urban life, and atmospheric narrative stills. The combination of 'soft ambient light from street lamps' and the 'shallow depth of field' ensures that while the subject remains sharp, the surrounding wet city street elements—like the blurred car lights reflecting on the pavement—contribute to a cohesive, melancholic backdrop rather than becoming distracting noise.

Suggestions

Change 'light blue knitted cardigan' to 'charcoal wool cardigan' for more contrast.
Add 'bokeh effect' to enhance the background blur from vehicle headlights.
Swap 'soft, dreamy aesthetic' for 'high-contrast film noir' for a grittier feel.
