Young woman with dark hair by window sunlight wearing plaid skirt

Prompt

A young woman with long dark hair stands by a window in soft sunlight.

Subject: A young woman with long, straight dark brown hair and bangs framing her face, featuring large expressive eyes and a gentle expression.

Clothing: She wears a white short-sleeved collared shirt tucked into a dark blue plaid pleated skirt, accessorized with a matching dark blue and red plaid bow tie at the neck.

Action: She stands facing forward with her hands resting on the window sill, looking directly at the viewer.

Environment: The setting is indoors next to a large window with a wooden frame, showing blurred green foliage outside in bright daylight.

Lighting: Strong backlight from the sun creates a glowing halo effect around her hair and shoulders, casting soft shadows and highlighting her features.

Camera: Medium shot capturing her from the waist up, framed vertically with a shallow depth of field that blurs the background slightly.

Style Details: Photorealistic rendering with high detail in skin texture and fabric, warm color grading, and cinematic lighting typical of modern portrait photography.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating intimate lifestyle portraits, academic-themed editorial spreads, and character concept art requiring natural indoor light. The combination of 'strong backlight' generating a glowing halo effect and the 'shallow depth of field' ensures that while the subject remains sharp, the visible 'blurred green foliage outside' provides context without distracting from her face or the texture of the plaid skirt.

Suggestions

Change 'dark blue plaid pleated skirt' to 'tartan wool skirt' for a more autumnal feel.
Adjust 'soft sunlight' to 'diffused window light' if you want less harsh backlighting.
Swap 'medium shot capturing her from the waist up' to 'close-up portrait' to emphasize the expression.
