Woman with dark hair sitting on wooden staircase looking thoughtfully upward

Prompt

A woman with long dark hair sits on a wooden staircase, looking upward and to the side with a contemplative expression.

Subject: A woman with long, dark, wavy hair, fair skin, defined eyebrows, and subtle makeup including eyeliner and pink lipstick.

Clothing: She wears a black textured spaghetti-strap top and matching black trousers or wide-leg pants.

Action: Her right hand is raised to her neck, gently touching her hair near the ear, while her left hand rests on her lap; she gazes upward with a soft, thoughtful expression.

Environment: A wooden staircase with horizontal slats forms the immediate background, blurred into soft bokeh.

Camera: Medium shot capturing the subject from the thighs up, with a shallow depth of field that keeps the face and upper body in sharp focus while blurring the stairs behind her.

Lighting: Soft, diffused natural light illuminates her face and shoulders evenly, creating gentle shadows and a warm, calm mood.

Style Details: High-resolution portrait photography with a clean, elegant aesthetic and smooth skin texture.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating intimate character portraits, editorial lifestyle shots, and moody personal branding content. The combination of 'soft, diffused natural light' and the 'shallow depth of field' ensures that the subject's contemplative expression remains the sharp focal point, while the blurred wooden staircase provides textural context without distracting from her thoughtful gaze.

Suggestions

Change 'black textured spaghetti-strap top' to 'cream knit sweater' for a warmer feel.
Add 'rim lighting catching hair edges' to enhance the silhouette.
Swap 'wooden staircase' for 'marble steps' to change the material contrast.
