Young man in black shirt standing profile near water with hazy mountains

Prompt

A young man stands in profile against a calm body of water with hazy mountains in the background.

Subject: A young man with dark skin and short black hair styled with a fade on the sides and volume on top. He has a clean-shaven face and is looking off to the right side of the frame.

Clothing: He wears a black button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, paired with blue jeans. A pair of sunglasses hangs from the placket of his shirt. He carries a black backpack on his shoulder.

Action: He stands in a relaxed pose, holding the strap of his backpack with his left hand while looking into the distance.

Environment: The setting is outdoors next to a large body of water, likely a lake or river, with a distant shoreline and faint mountains visible through atmospheric haze.

Camera: The shot is a medium close-up taken from a side profile angle with a shallow depth of field that blurs the background significantly.

Lighting: The scene is lit by soft, diffused daylight, creating gentle shadows and a muted, overcast atmosphere.

Style Details: The image has a realistic photographic quality with natural color tones and slight atmospheric haze.

Description

This prompt is useful for creating travel blog features, cinematic character portraits, and editorial lifestyle photography. The combination of 'soft diffused daylight' and the 'shallow depth of field' ensures the subject remains crisp while the hazy mountains provide a muted backdrop that avoids harsh contrast, which would distract from the man's profile.

Suggestions

Change 'black button-down shirt' to 'light grey linen shirt' for better contrast.
Swap 'hazy mountains' for 'pine forest' to change the background texture.
Adjust 'medium close-up' to 'full body' to include more of the water.
